2. There is a negative temperature coefficient thermistor in the coolant temperature sensor, and the resistance value is inversely proportional to the temperature. As the temperature increases, the resistance value will decrease. When the resistance value is lower than the lower limit value, a corresponding alarm will sound, and the car owner needs to make timely response measures, otherwise the engine will be severely damaged.
If the engine is in normal working condition, the coolant temperature value is between 80 and 100 degrees Celsius. When the coolant temperature is greater than 112 degrees Celsius, the instrument panel will light up the coolant temperature warning light. At this time, the owner needs to stop the vehicle immediately, turn off the engine, check the amount of coolant and the pipeline system.
