Troubleshooting methods for diesel engine fuel cut-off Solenoid valve
1. Fault cause analysis: The diesel engine may not be able to shut down due to a problem with the electromagnetic fuel cut-off device on the high-pressure oil pump. The electromagnetic oil cut-off device consists of electromagnetic valves, electromagnetic coils, springs, and other components.
When it is necessary to stop the rotation of the diesel engine, the ignition switch can be turned to "OFF". At this time, the power supply to the solenoid coil is cut off, and the electromagnetic force also disappears. The spring will push the needle valve of the Solenoid Valve back to the valve seat, closing the oil inlet hole.
Due to the oil circuit being cut off, the high-pressure oil pump stopped supplying oil, and the diesel engine naturally stopped. To investigate the problem with the electromagnetic oil cut-off device, it was first removed from the high-pressure oil pump for testing. When the electromagnetic oil cut-off device is powered on, the needle valve can quickly lift up. After cutting off the power, the needle valve can quickly seat. This indicates that the solenoid valve has good performance. Then, after careful observation of the needle valve and valve seat, it was found that there were some hard iron objects on the valve seat, which may be the cause of the malfunction.
2. Check and eliminate circuit faults. Firstly, check and eliminate the circuit faults of the fuel cut-off solenoid valve. Turn on the ignition switch and observe if the fuel cut-off solenoid valve is working. If not, check the fuse and solenoid valve circuit. If the ambient temperature is low, it is also necessary to check if the starting preheating device is faulty.
3. To check and eliminate oil circuit faults, first determine whether the fault is in the low-pressure or high-pressure oil circuit. The experience is to loosen the exhaust screw of the fuel injection pump, pull the hand oil pump, and observe whether there is oil flow at the exhaust screw. If the oil flow is normal, it indicates that the fault is in the high-pressure oil circuit. If there is no oil flow or foam diesel oil flow, and the manual oil pump can not be discharged after being pulled for a long time, it indicates that the low-pressure oil circuit is faulty.
